HAA would like to advertise the following  events/activities conducted by HaSS associated organisations.

The 2026 HASS SA Annual Conference is being conducted on Saturday 7th March 2026 at Urrbrae Agricultural High School

HASS SA is holding its State Conference for R-12 teachers on Saturday 7th March 2026, at Urrbrae Agricultural High School, Fullarton Road, Netherby.

Many of the workshop presenters are from HASS SA member associations: HTASA, GTASA, BETASA, HAA, AAEE, Aboriginal Studies, as well as practising teachers, ATO and SA Museum.

Join HaSS educators from across South Australia for a dynamic and inspiring full-day conference designed to spark new ideas, build confidence, and strengthen classroom practice. This year’s program brings together expert presenters, hands-on workshops, fresh resources, and real-world examples across History, Geography, Economics and Business, Environmental Sustainability, and Aboriginal Studies.

Early Bird Registration fees close 5pm on 7-2-26: $100 teacher, $80 TRT, $70 Early Career, $40 Preservice

After 5pm on 7-2-26 fees are $120 teacher, $90 TRT, $80 Early Career and $50 Preservice

  • History teachers who want to gain more confidence in teaching geography, economics and business
  • Experienced HaSS teachers looking to network and refresh knowledge and practices

Professional learning from Parliament House

Natalie Badcock, the Parliament of South Australia Community Education Officer has recorded free professional learning sessions available on request.  The recordings include Parliamentary Basics, Understanding Legislation, and Top 5 Tips for Teaching Civics and citizenship. Contacteducation@parliament.sa.gov.au to request access.

Natalie is also running a round of sessions in October.
