2025 Teachers Registration Board Early Career Mentor of the Year Award presented to HaSS Association Australia (HAA)

At the 2025 Educators SA World Teachers Day Ceremony at Adelaide Oval, HaSS Association Australia was presented with the Teachers Registration Board Early Career Mentor of the Year Award for 2025.
The citation reads: HAA have made an outstanding contribution to the early career educators in our State. As a team they initiated the HAA Mentor programme and it has resulted in a membership base of several hundred HASS educators, where 50% of those members are pre-service educators and 25% are early career educators. They achieved this through innovative approaches to linking the wisdom and expertise of the profession into a mentoring programme designed by the mentees themselves. Their regular, innovative, industry-connected, Tribrid professional learning model has generated passion and teaching practices that will impact on learners for many years to come. Their success was no more evident than at the recent Flinders University Expo, where their pre-service and early career Committee Members were a joy to watch as they powerfully connected, welcomed and supported the new cohort of University students to our profession.
In 2024 the Teachers Registration Board Early Career Mentor of the Year Award was presented to Stephanie Morbidelli (HAA Vice-President)

Stephanie Morbidelli being presented with the Early Career Mentor of the Year Award by Martin Westwell, Chief Executive of the Department for Education SA.
The citation reads:
In only her fourth year of teaching herself, Stephanie has immersed herself in the running of HaSS Association Australia, taking responsibility in particular for the running and development of programs for early career educators. She has shown herself to be an impressive leader who has been able to support, motivate and encourage other early career educators in their journey.
HAA is proud to receive these awards because it affirms our aim to provide a collaborative environment for HaSS educators to work together and promote the HaSS learning area.
2025 HAA contribution and service award for the promotion of HaSS Education.

Presented to Susan Jones (HAA Treasurer) by The Honourable Blair Boyer MP, Minister for Education SA.
The citation reads:
Susan Jones has been integral to the development of HaSS Association Australia from the very beginning. Susan has acted as the secretary and treasurer during the establishment years of the association and her attention to detail and willingness to be involved in all aspects of the association has been an important part of the success of HaSS Association Australia as a new association. Without her drive and quality of administration HAA would have struggled to be established and thrive.

Her reliability and commitment to developing materials to support the promotion of HAA has been of the highest standard. Olivia has developed quality and creative visual products and very effective social media to promote the association.
