Annual General Meeting

AGM

The first Annual General Meeting (AGM) for HAA Inc. is conducted on 12 March, 2025. The meeting will commence at 4.30pm and be held at the Education Development Centre (EDC), 4 Milner Street,  Hindmarsh.  The notice of the AGM will be sent to all HAA members in the week commencing 10 February, 2025. Nomination forms for the HAA Council and Executive positions will be forwarded with the AGM notice. Nomination forms to be forwarded to the HAA Secretary (secretary@hassaa.org.au) by the 28 February, 2025.

Relevant information from the constitution on HAA Inc. AGM:

  • The Council shall call an Annual General Meeting in accordance with the HAA Constitution.
  • The first Annual General Meeting (AGM) of HAA shall be held within 18 months after the incorporation of the association, and thereafter within five months after the end of the HAA Inc. financial year (31 December).
  • An Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the HAA shall be held once in every calendar year at such a time and place as determined by the Council. The AGM may be aligned to one of the Members’ General Meetings.
  • An AGM of the HAA may be convened to occur in a venue in Adelaide using any technology that gives the members a reasonable opportunity to participate in the meeting.
  • Attendance at an AGM may be in person or online. Those attending online have all the rights of those attending in person.
  • Directors and office bearers for HAA are to be elected at the AGM.
  • A member shall be entitled to appoint in writing a member of HAA to be their proxy and attend and vote, on their behalf, at the AGM.
  • At least twenty-one (21) days’ notice of a HAA Inc. meeting must be given to each person who is a member at the date of the notice.
